ABOUT THE BOOK
We’re told to write what you know. Sometimes what you know best is the odd job, dead shift or long nine-to-five. Is This Working? brings together the stranger experiences of our working lives, exploring the absurd and sinister we find along the way. From part-timing where there’s intrigue in every grease stain, to the jobs that nibble at your human form, to working closely with death in the bush, each of these twelve tales feel so distinct to their author’s experiences – though some may stray from complete honesty. With Is This Working? we hope you’ll question the narratives we all create and live about our labour in the weird wide world of work.
